How long have you been in business?
The Church of the Disciple was founded in 1994 as the second United Methodist presence in the Desoto Community.
What is your primary product or service?
We are a religious institution seeking to meet the needs of persons within our community, through worship, outreach and services to our community.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As a United Methodist Pastor, I was appointed as an Ordained Elder to serve this community. Our goal is to reach as many persons as possible and connect them with the love of Jesus Christ. As a person with commitment, I believe this goal can be accomplished by sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others who may find themselves lonely, or with family, yet without community.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I believe that our church poised to meet people where they are and seek to connect, or reconnect them with the love of Jesus Christ.

Church of the Disciple is located at 220 S. Cockrell Hill Rd., Desoto, TX. The Church can be reached by traveling either north or south on highway 67. Exit Cockrell Hill Road, travel S. on North Cockrell Hill Rd and when you cross Beltline Rd., the church sits on the left in the second block. Traveling I 35, exit Beltline Rd, and to west to Cockrell Hill Rd and go S for two blocks, the church is on the left.
What type of payments do you accept?
The church accepts checks and one may give an offering online at www.umdisciple.org
Which areas do you service?
Desoto, Dallas, Lancaster, Cedar Hill, Ovilla, Mansfield, Red Oak.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
The Church is a member of the North Texas Conference and the Pastor is present most days.
What are your hours of operation?
Sunday 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. for worship. Wednesday night Bible Study 7 p.m. Daily Tuesday - Thursday 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturdays Prayer 9 a.m.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
I was empowered by the worship experience

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13
