How long have you been in business?
The Carriage House Bed and Breakfast was founded in 2002 after this historic home was converted from a New Orleans Style restaurant to a Bed and Breakfast. We purchased the business in 2009 The home was built in 1920 and a renovation was completed in 2010.
What is your primary product or service?
We are a traditional Bed and Breakfast. We offer seven beautifully decorated rooms and a multi-course gourmet breakfast 7 days a week.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
When we travel, we opt to stay in a Bed and Breakfast. We always loved the personalized service that we received and enjoyed staying in unique and interesting homes. We always said that we wanted to do this. We took advantage of the poor real estate market to purchase a Bed and Breakfast. Our guests ask us how we like running a Bed and Breakfast and we answer with a resounding "we love it".
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our differentiator is our level of service. We treat every guest as a valued friend and try and make them as comfortable as possible in our home. We are the closest Bed and Breakfast to the shops and restaurants in the Historic Riverfront district in Jefferson so our guests can park their cars and walk to everything.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have the one location in downtown Jefferson and do not plan to expand at this time.
Provide detailed directions to your location
As you come out of the Shreveport airport, turn left onto I-20. Take I-20 until you get to the Marshall exit, Hwy 59. Go north on Hwy 59 to Hwy 49, about 18 miles. Slight right at FM-134/N Polk St. The Carriage House is the white wood frame house on the right at the corner of Polk and Orleans.

We live onsite and manage the Inn daily.
